III FORUM FOR IBERIAN STUDIES
INSIGHTS INTO 1898
UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
FACULTY OF MEDIEVAL AND MODERN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURE
After the successful holding of the Forum for Iberian Studies at the University of Oxford in 1996 and I99J, the lectors of Catalan, Galician, Spanish and Portuguese are organising the third annuai conference, to take place on the 23rd of May 1998 at The Queen's College, Oxford. This one-day conference intends to create and consolidate a discussion forum where scholars working on the different cultures of the Iberian Peninsula can meet with the common aim of developing future cooperation. The Forum serves as a means to promote discussion, establish links and exchange information. This year the theme of the conference rs Insights into 1898, and there will be speakers on Basque, Catalan, Galician, Spanish and Portuguese Studies. At the end of the sessions, a round table will take place. Further detaiis will be given in the next circular.
